Dating starts with a card from the Mossport post office. You plan two activities, read the chatter on the way, and you can still finish a covenmate's story with no romance at all.

01
Eleven, six named
Eleven characters can be romanced. Six covenmates were named on 10 September 2026: Hana Satō, Eli Ivers, Cormac Fitzroy, Pip Marin, Leif Blomgren, and Evadne Gladwin. Kiara Chandra, birthday Autumn 15, lives at 2 Casterwick Avenue and is not one of those six. The other romanceable characters are not named yet. Faculty, Fable, and the town residents are not romance options.
The Mossport post office sells the cards that move a romance. One card asks someone out, one asks to go steady, and one breaks the relationship off. Stock rotates with the season, so the breakup card is not the same joke all year. Going steady comes after gifts, dates, and regular contact. It is the step that opens privileges such as sleepovers. The card itself is the whole switch: a note, not a dungeon or a special festival quest.

Two activities
Festival
You choose both stops on a date, and the walk between them is part of the plan. More than 200 chatter spots are scattered across Mossport. Each one reacts to the place in front of you, whether that is a jewellery shop, the college bridge, or seaweed on the beach. Chatter is also the warning. A companion may lean toward a stop or make it plain they would rather leave. You learn the result when you walk them home. A bad date shows itself at the door, and a good one does too, which can lead straight into another date.
04
Friendship still finishes
Covenmate stories can be completed without sending any card. Some residents open their homes and their secrets quickly. Others wait until the relationship is higher before the deeper chapter. Skipping the post office does not erase those stories. The same people still invite you in as the relationship level rises, and the scenes play as short visual novels with their own tone, subject, and point of view.
05
Gifts, then the note
People do not move at the same speed. Gifts, a run of good dates, and regular contact are what push a slower courtship toward the going-steady card. Favourite gifts have not been announced, so the useful prep is the six names, their streets, and the post office, the only place a relationship changes state. Read their birthdays before you decide who to court first. A festival crowd is another walk you can share, and the same chatter still reacts to whatever is happening around you.
06
Two players, one person
In online play each player can court a covenmate. Two players can pursue the same person until one of them sends the going-steady card, and that rivalry is part of the mode rather than a bug. Until that card goes out, both players can keep giving gifts, taking two-stop dates, and raising the relationship with the same covenmate. Sleepovers and the other steady privileges wait until one of them sends it.
